Nucleophilic trifluoromethylation using trifluoromethyl iodide.: A new and simple alternative for the trifluoromethylation of aldehydes and ketones

[GRAPHICS] A novel method for nucleophilic trifluoromethylation of aldehydes and ketones, based on photoinduced reduction of trifluoromethyl iodide by tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene (TDAE), is presented.
