A scheme for producing the alpha-emitters Pb-212 and Bi-212, to be used in a promising method of diagnostics and therapy in oncology - radioimmunotherapy, is proposed. The technology is based on two generators operating in tandem: Th-228/Pb-212 and Pb-212/Bi-212. The first one is based on separation from an initial solution containing thorium isotopes and gaseous Rn-220, which secures the purity of the desired products Pb-212 and Bi-212. For a Th-228/Pb-212 model generator, the efficiency of Rn-220 extraction from solution was similar to 60%. After conditioning, the Pb-212 solution from the Th-228/Pb-212 generator was used to charge a column, which functioned as a Pb-212/Bi-212 generator, with a cation exchanger.
