Photosystem II: a multisubunit membrane protein that oxidises water

A structure of photosystem II recently determined by X-ray crystallography at 3.8 Angstrom resolution complements structural studies using high-resolution electron microscopy and represents a major step towards understanding how photosynthetic organisms use light energy to oxidise water.
