Superficial granulomatous pyoderma treated with intravenous imunoglobulin

Superficial granulomatous pyoderma is a rare variant of pyoderma gangrenosum, The ulceration and vegetative margins are clinically destructive the supporative and granulomatous histology is characteristic, though not pathognomonic. The condition is said to relatively benign and more responsive to treatment than classic pyoderma gangrenosum, though published evidence of this is not convincing, We present a case of superficial granulomatous pyoderma that was unusually aggressive, but that underwent dramatic and lasting resolution after intravenous immunoglobulin therapy.
