Growth of nanotube/nanofibre coils by CVD on an alumina substrate

A method to produce coiled carbon structures with controlled diameter on an alumina substrate was presented. TEM observations and Raman analyses were conducted on the as-prepared materials. The obtained structures depended on the substrate preparation procedure and mainly on the electrochemical deposition conditions. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V All rights reserved.
