Tetrapod-like nano-particle ZnO/acrylic resin composite and its multi-function property

Tetrapod-like nano-particle ZnO/acrylic resin composite was prepared by a direct dispersing method forming a multi-function coating. The composite with uniform distribution of nano-ZnO in the acrylic resin have both anti-electrostatic and antibacterial functions. The coatings can be used for plastic materials or others. The mechanisms of the electrostatic and antibacterial functions were also analyzed. (C) 2003 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
