Tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) [Pd-2(dba)(3)] catalyzed asymmetric double carbohydroamination of iodoarenes in the presence of a chiral ligand (Trost ligand and Me-DuPHOS are most effective) is an excellent method for the chiral synthesis of alpha-aminoamides in up to 99% ee.
