Magnetic and crystal structures of polar ferrimagnet Ga2-xFexO3

Large single crystals of Ga2-xFexO3 (0.8 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 1.4) were prepared for the first time by using a floating zone method. These ferrimagnetic piezoelectric crystals show a wide variety of T-c (130-370 K), depending on x. Structural and magnetic properties are discussed. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
