Syntheses, structures and luminescent properties of four new 1D lanthanide complexes with 2-thiopheneacetic acid ligand

Four complexes, Ln(2)(C6H5SO2)(6)(H2O)(3) (.) 2.25H(2)O (C2H5SO2 = 2-thiopheneacetic acid, Ln = Ce (1), Pr (2), Nd (3), Sin (4)), have been synthesized with hydrothermal route. The X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that they are characterized by the I D structure and fluorescence studies show they display interesting luminescent properties in solid state.
