An amine sulfonamide organocatalyst for promoting direct, highly enantioselective α-aminoxylation reactions of aldehydes and ketones

A novel, pyrrolidine sulfonamide-based organocatalyst has been developed and used to catalyze direct, efficient alpha-aminoxylation reactions of aldehydes and ketones with excellent regio- and en antioselectivities. Unlike L-proline, the new catalyst exhibits high activity and enantioselectivity when used in a variety of organic solvents. (C) 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
