Strong enhancement of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis on a Co/SiO2 catalyst activate in syngas mixture

The pre-treatment of Co/SiO2 catalyst in a H-2 + CO mixture produces a strong enhancement in CO conversion up to 90% which is five times higher than with the standard activation in H-2. In addition, the H-2 + CO activation almost depressed the appearance of unsaturated product. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
