Magnetic and transport properties of trilayer films composed of ferromagnetic metals Sr0.7Ca0.3RuO3 (SCRO) and La0.6Sr0.4MnO3 (LSMO) on SrTiO3 (001) substrate were studied. Decrease in magnetization below Curie temperature of SCRO indicates antiferromagnetic coupling between SCRO and LSMO layers resulting from superexchange interaction. Resistivity is found to be lower in antiparallel magnetic configuration, which is due to negative spin polarization of SCRO. (C) 2004 American Institute of Physics.
