An interpretation of the hνpeak-Eiso correlation for gamma-ray bursts

The hv(peak)/100 KeV similar to (E-iso/10(52) ergs)(1/2) correlation reported recently by Amati et al. and Lamb et al. for long gamma-ray bursts can be interpreted as a viewing angle effect if the emitting region of the fireball is ring-shaped.
