Experimental trends in polymer nanocomposites - a review

A review of the recent work on polymer matrix nanocomposites is presented. This review is not intended to be comprehensive, but provides an overview of the processing techniques and trends in the mechanical behavior and morphology of nanocomposites. A number of composite systems with amorphous and/or crystalline polymer matrices and different nano-sized filler materials are discussed. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
