The macrofungi specimens were collected from locations around Diyarbakir and Batman. Thirty five species of macrofungi were identified as belonging to 15 families in Diyarbakir and Batman provinces. Protein contents of Boletus luteus, Armillaria tabescens, Helvella sp., Agaricus bisporus, Agrocybe aegerita and Tricholoma ustale were 8.2-18.1, 7.2-10.6, 2.15-27.7, 26.5-51.2, 41.0-46.8, and 29.7-50.5 (% dry weight), respectively.
