Composite films consisted of polyoxometallates and multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were prepared by layer-by-layer assembled method. The films were characterized by environment scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) and electrochemical methods. The results showed that composite films could be successfully obtained because of electrostatic interaction between polyoxometallates and MWNTs modified by poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (pMWNTs). The images of ESEM indicated that the composite film exhibited network structure. At the same time, their electrochemical activities were also studied in this paper. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V.
