A new species of Julolaelaps (Acari: Iphiopsididae) from African millipedes

Julolaelaps celestiae n. sp. (Acari: Iphiopsididae), an associate of Archispirostreptus sp. (Diplopoda: Juliformia: Spirostreptidae), is described and compared with other species in the genus. The species is unusual within the genus in having an anal shield that is wider than long. The host was collected from an unknown country in Africa.
