We describe the synthesis and evaluation of three new competitive inhibitors of triose-phosphate isomerase. One of them (phosphoglycoloamidoxime: K-i = 4.5 mu M) is among the best reversible inhibitors so far reported for this enzyme. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
