Lewis base catalyzed ring opening of aziridines with silylated nucleophiles

The ring opening of N-tosylaziridines with trimethylsilylated nucleophiles, catalyzed by N,N,N'N'-tetramethylethylenediamine, led to the production of beta-functionalized sulfonamides in good to excellent yields with high regioselectivity.
