Thermal and electrical properties of zirconium nitride

A polycrystalline sample of zirconium nitride was prepared and the thermal and electrical properties were measured from room temperature to about 1273 K. The electrical conductivity is of an order of magnitude of 10(4) Omega(-1) m(-1) in the whole temperature range. The Seebeck coefficient is around -6 to -7 mu V K-1. The thermal conductivity is about 20 W m(-1) K-1 at room temperature, and it decreases with increasing temperature. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
