The paper examines the impact of the IT revolution oil the design professions, especially, that of architecture. It looks at the impacts of past technological revolutions on established methods, products, and practices, and examines the potential impacts of ubiquitous computing, telecommunication, mass-customization and embedded computing oil methods of design and construction, and oil the products of architecture.
