Atomized silver spheres (<= 53 mu m diameter) were coated with a 1 mu m thick layer of (La0.6Sr0.4)(0.98)Co0.2Fe0.8O3-delta via a mechanofusion dry processing method. The material was successfully utilized as an SOFC cathode on anode-supported YSZ electrolytes at 700 degrees C, producing > 500 mW cm(-2) (at 0.7 V) and exhibiting relatively stable performance (similar to 3% power degradation per 1000 h at 0.7 V) during > 2000 h of operation.
