In the structure of the title compound, C18H14O2, the two benzene rings are inclined at an angle of 54.25 (13)degrees. The packing of the molecules is mainly governed by weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds with no pi-pi stacking observed.
