On the preparation of single-crystalline gold microplates

Heating a concentrated HAuCl4-citric acid aqueous solution results in the formation of single-crystalline gold microplates. It suggests that both the concentration of reactants and medium pH value are key to producing microplates. (c) 2006 Published by Elsevier B.V.
