H2O2 was synthesized directly from O-2 and H-2 over precious metal loaded titanium silicalite (TS-1) in compressed CO2 and yields were measured by immediately reacting the in situ generated H2O2 with an indicator-pyridine. Experimental results proved that H2O2 could be effectively synthesized from O-2 and H-2 in compressed CO2. The effects of the following factors on H-2 conversion, H2O2 selectivity and yield were examined: O-2/H-2 molar ratio, H-2 concentration, catalyst mass, Pd content in the catalyst and the addition of Pt to the catalyst. Under the optimal reaction conditions, H2O2 yield reached 31.7% with an H2O2 selectivity of 56.1%.
