Bi2Te3/(Bi0.3Sb0.7)(2)Te-3 superlattice thermoelectric nanowires are synthesized by using a template-directed electrodeposition method. Adjustment of the deposition times and potentials enables precise control over the composition and length of each segment of the nanowires. Characterization of the superlattice nanowires by, amongst others, energy dispersive X-ray analysis (see figure) reveals their periodically varying structure.
