Drying of a multicomponent solution drop on a solid substrate: Qualitative analysis

It is shown that, when a drop of a biological fluid dries out on a substrate, diffusion processes to a great extent suppress the transfer of the salt toward the periphery of the drop by capillary flows and still have a minor effect on the motion of colloid particles.
