Novel 3D LnIII-CuI supramolecular architecture based on 2D MOFs with (6,3) topology

Three novel coordination polymers, [LnCu(PZDC)(3)]center dot[Ln(H(2)O)(9)](0.5)center dot[(H(2)O)(7)H(+)](0.5) [Ln = La (1), Eu (2), Gd (3)], were synthesized. They are the first 3d-4f heterometallic framework with supramolecular 1D channels, in which lanthanide hydrate cations and lattice water molecules are located.
