An interpenetrating microporous metal-organic framework based on a mu(3)-oxotrinickel basic carboxylate secondary building unit has been synthesized and structurally characterized. It exhibits pronounced gas-sorption hysteresis and selective adsorption of carbon dioxide over methane.
