L-Proline-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of 2-aryl-2,3-dihydroquinolin-4(1H)-ones

L-Proline is utilized as an organocatalyst for the synthesis of substituted 2-aryl-2,3-dihydroquinolin-4(IH)-ones, in good yields.
