Synthesis, properties, and structures of difluoromethylene-bridged coplanar p-terphenyl and its aryl-capped derivatives for electron-transporting materials

A series of oligophenylene derivatives consisting of 6,6,12,12-tetrafluoroindenofluorene moieties were synthesized. Photophysical properties and X-ray analyses clearly showed that these conjugated molecules have potentials for electron-transporting materials.
