The magnetic properties of Cr-doped rhombohedral LiMnO2 are investigated. Two paramagnetic regions are separated at 95 K with a reduction in the effective moment due to the change in spin-orbit coupling. Spin-glass-like behavior is suggested at low temperature based on the dc magnetization and magnetic hysteresis measurements. (c) 2007American Institute of Physics.
