2,3,12,13-Tetramethyl-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C48H38N4, the molecule is positioned on a center of symmetry and the porphyrin ring shows a nearly planar geometry in spite of the presence of four bulky methyl groups at the antipodal beta-pyrrole positions.
