In the title compound, C18H23N2+center dot C6H2N3O7-, the seven-membered ring of the cation adopts a boat conformation and the two aromatic rings form a dihedral angle of 52.79 (6)degrees. The anions and cations are connected via N - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.
