Higher derivative corrections including the Ramond-Ramond five form and applications.

We review recent progress in obtaining a supersymmetric completion of the R-4 term in type IIB supergravity when the Ramond-Ramond five-form is considered. We show that the addition of these new terms does not affect a previous computation of the free energy of N = 4 SYM at finite coupling.
