A Versatile Click Chemistry Precursor of Functional Polystyrene Nanoparticles

The synthesis of a versatile click chemistry precursor of functional polystyrene nanoparticles is reported. The resulting nanoparticles thereof offer inherent characteristics of ultrasmall polymeric nanoparticles (size approximate to 4 nm) plus interesting functionalization possibilities, opening the door to new hybrid, soft nano-objects, bridging the gap between synthetic and natural polymers.
