Control of electric field strength and orientation at the donor-acceptor interface in organic solar cells

Electrical doping is essential to achieve efficient photocurrent extraction in small-molecular-weight organic solar ells. It is shown that such doping creates strong electric fields at the donor-acceptor interface that prevent geminate electron-hole recombination.
