In current work, we explore a new catalytic approach to multicomponent Biginelli condensation using mesoporous graphitic carbon nitride (mpg-C3N4) as heterogeneous Lewis-base catalyst. Present protocol provides solvent free, mild reaction condition, optimal yield and easy separation of catalyst. This method also offers ample yield of pure products within very short reaction time. Heterogeneously dispersed mpg-C3N4 catalyst is stable and recyclable with consistent catalytic activity under visible light irradiation.
