A novel, simple, effective and rapid fluorescence sensing platform was fabricated using green silver nanoparticles from Agaricus Bispores (AgNP-AB).AgNP-AB was synthesized by microwave reactor. The synthesized AgNPs have been used for the fluorescence sensing of Hg(II) ions without the use of catalyst/modifiers or any other additional sophisticated instrumentation. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were fruitfully characterized by various analytical techniques. AgNP-AB leads to aggregation with Hg(II)ions in aqueous medium and leads to the formation of AgNP-AB-Hg(II) complex. The fabricated fluorescence sensing system for Hg(II) ions is related to the formation of AgNP-AB-Hg(II) complex. Concentration of Hg(II) ions was studied quantitatively from 0 to 90 mu,M via fluorescence sensing measurements. To the best of our knowledge, there are no reports for the fluorescence sensing of Hg(II) ion by green silver nanoparticles, and this novel technique could be adapted for effective fluorescence sensing platform for Hg(II) ions. We believe that our proposed approach would have multifunctional applications in various areas.
