A random pore network model of a fibrous gas diffusion layer for fuel cell electrodes based on Voronoi and Delaunay tessellations is presented. This framework not only allows a random distribution of pores in space but provides a full geometric description of pore and throat sizes, connectivity and path lengths, as well as fiber backbone information. In this work the feasibility of this approach to predict capillary and transport properties of gas diffusion layers is assessed and promising results are obtained.
