The conventional cathode cannot meet the constantly increasing demand for high specific capacity in next generation cathode. V2O5 is an attractive cathode material due to its high theoretical specific capacity (294 mAh g(-1)) and affordable cost. Herein, we report a facile process for the fabrication of 2D sandwich-like V2O5@Graphene nanosheets. Profiting from a synergic strategy inhibiting stacked layered structure and enhanced ion transport within interlayer, the sandwich-like V2O5@Graphene composite exhibits exceptional high initial reversible capacity (300 mAh g(-1) at the 0.5 C), excellent cyclic stability (203 mAh g(-1) after 245 cycles) and high-rate capability (165 mAh g(-1) at the 10 C).
