This paper describes the construction of hierarchical CuCo2S4 hollow spheres via a bubble-supported solvothermal method as electrodes for enhanced electrochemical performance. A high specific capacitance of 1137.5 F g(-1) has been obtained at 2 A g(-1) with exceptional rate capability (84.8% capacitance retention from 2 to 20 A g(-1)) and good cycling stability (94.9% of the initial capacitance after 6000 cycles), making them promising electrodes for supercapacitors.
