Rotor mass unbalance always brings great damage to the rotating machines. The off-line balancing can reduce unbalance, but it can only be implemented when the rotor is stopped, which lowers the production efficiency and causes great economic loss. A real-time embedded monitoring and control system based on DSP&FPGA is introduced in this paper. Combining FPGA with DSP, the system can not only enhance the data processing speed but also output analog signals to drive the balancing actuator, thus the online active balancing control of the rotor can become reality. Another important feature is that it is convenient for the operators to control the system and observe the real-time state of the rotor system through user interface.
