The authors have identified an inappropriate assumption in the original article that required the authors to provide corrections. They identified an inappropriate assumption in the as-calculated integrals in Eqs. (10) and (14) in the original article [1]. In this regard, integrals denoting internal virtual work (Eq. (10) in the original article) and virtual work of the acceleration (Eq. (14) in the original article) were calculated assuming spatially constant variables. As shown in the original results, this assumption is inappropriate. Fortunately, updating the assumption only affects results in the last part of the paper, Section 3.4 visco-plastic constitutive model parameter identification. Corrections have been made and the final results have been recalculated and presented in this corrigendum. Some additional discussion is also provided to give a deeper insight regarding the enhancement of the constitutive model identification.
