Influence of mole concentration on the optical properties of nebulized spray coated CeO2 thin films

Cerium oxide thin films are deposited on glass substrates with various mole concentrations (0.02 to 0.1 M) by nebulizer spray pyrolysis technique. The films are characterized for optical properties by studying the optical absorption spectra in the wavelength range 200-1200 nm at room temperature using UV-vis spectrophotometer. Optical analysis reveals that the films are transparent (70 %) in the visible region. The optical band gap (Eg) is calculated in the range 3.50-3.74 eV. The optical parameters like absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, packing density, dielectric constant, dissipation factor, optical conductivity, energy loss functions and refractive index are calculated for different mole concentrations (0.02-0.1 M).
