Myxoma, the most common adult primary cardiac tumor, can manifest with profound symptoms. The preferred treatment of symptomatic myxoma is surgical resection, which can be curative. Preoperatively, multimodality imaging provides crucial information on the number, size, location, and proximity of myxoma or myxomas to adjacent structures, thereby facilitating an optimal operative approach. This report presents a case of symptomatic, giant left atrial myxoma and the utility of multimodality imaging to guide surgical planning. (C) 2019 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons
