A numerical study is carried out to investigate the impact of magnetic field and Ohmic heating on viscous dissipative flow of a nanofluid and heat transfer through a non-linearly stretching sheet in the presence of porous medium. The relevant governing equations on the fluid flow have been developed. A similarity transformation is used to transform the governing partial differential equations into non-linear ordinary differential equations. The resulting governing equations are to be solved by using a second order finite difference scheme known as Keller box method. Three different types of nanoparticles are considered, namely Copper, Alumina and Titanium oxide. The numerical results of velocity field, temperature profiles, skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number were obtained for different values of the non dimensional governing parameters like the permeability parameter, nanofluid volume fraction, magnetic parameter, viscous dissipation parameter, thermal radiation parameter. The results were analyzed and discussed in detail with the help of graphs and tables. Obtained results are validated with open literature and found an excellent agreeement.
