Planning of decentralised wastewater treatment in RW 9 Genteng Subdistrict, Surabaya City

One of the targets of Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2015-2019 is providing 100% basic sanitation. RW 9 Genteng Subdistrict is one of the area that has not reach the ideal condition. About 57% of citizen living there have inadequate disposal system. So, it is necessary to plan an appropriate sanitation technology for the citizen. Condition of citizen will be known by doing observation. Based on survey result, the most suitable sanitation technology to be applied in Genteng Subdistrict is a decentralised wastewater treatment. The cost to make RW 9 become an open defecation free area is Rp289,452,236. (C) 2016 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
