With the rapid growth of the Internet services, a better technology to support network traffic management is required. Load balancing is a common strategy for this issue. Due to the development of novel network technology-Software Defined Network (SDN), there are more possibilities and opportunities on this issue. The major feature of SDN is the decoupling of the control and data planes to fulfill the logical centralized control in practical and the paradigm of SDN has demonstrated its programmability and high flexibility on network management. So far, many researchers worked on load balancing using OpenFlow networks. One of the improvements is wildcard rule method and we proposed an improved parameterized approach on the host partition process and the proposed method is more efficient when a larger binary tree is given.
