P doped Co2Mo3Se nanosheets grown on carbon fiber cloth as an efficient hybrid catalyst for hydrogen evolution

In this communication, we developed a one-step solvothermal method to prepare an efficient hybrid catalyst which is composed of P doped CoMoSe nanosheets grown on carbon fiber cloth (P-CoMoSe/CFC). The self-standing P-Co2Mo3Se/CFC hybrid catalyst electrode exhibits a superior hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity with a small overpotential of 71 mV at a cathodic current density of 10 mA cm(-2), and a small Tafel slope of 43.6 mV dec(-1), as well as excellent cycling stability. Owing to the prominent synergistic effect of CFC acting as a self-standing conductive substrate, the webbed CoMoSe nanosheets provide abundant active sites and the P doping in CoMoSe/CFC provides a positive contribution to improving the HER activity.
